one life

year: 2009
medium: Adobe InDesign/Adobe Photoshop/Adobe Illustrator

This piece shows a person with a blank face representing everyone. We always see ourselves as one person living our own life and maybe only 0.01% of the worlds population even know you exist. We are just one person, but as Christians we represent the Lord Jesus Christ and though Him we can have an impact on this world! I am tired of people, including myself, whining and complaining about things that are wrong with our world. People complain that things aren't being done properly and so on. It is too easy to sit in a pew and point the finger at a messed up world and people failing trying to make and impact. We need to be the change that we want to see in this word! The only reason things are the way they are is because you haven't changed it yet! We need to change this world for Christ. With God as my strength I can change this world. Care to join me?!

Cool pic. You're good at how you explain your pic.'s! Also what you said is true. But, how'd you know that being an artist was your talent? 'Cause I've got no idea what my talent is.

  2. thanks! i've always had a passion for art and i enjoy it. art is just a talent that God has blessed me with i serve Him through it. ask God to show you what your talent is. He will! what do you enjoy doing? what are you passionate about? what do you succeed at?

by the way who is this?

to answer your questions, I like lots of things. but there isn't one in particular that i enjoy, and am good at. Also the whole point of 'anonymous' is to not show your identity. but just to make things interesting, you can guess random names. doesn't matter to me.
p.s. i've asked God what my talent is a while ago. but i need to learn to be patient, could you pray for me about this. by the way, do you know who the other 'anonymous' person is, the one who talks about evolution?

  4. that's fine i won't guess if you want to remain anonymous. haha. anyways what is one thing that you are good enough at that you could teach me and you would enjoy to do so? just an idea to further your thoughts in what your talent is. as far as 'anonymous' i have no idea who they are. i will also be praying for you if you like. have a great day.

  6. well it seems to me that you are passionate about sharing your faith but there is something that is causing you to hold on to fear. You need to be face down before God meaning you surrender ALL to Him at the beginning of every day! it's tough but we MUST allow God to live through us and He can't unless we get out of the way. he needs to be in the driver seat of our life as He sees the bigger picture and has a will for your life. you need to allow Him to use you to make it happen. this is a lesson that i have learned and continuously struggle with as it is very difficult to do! when i was learning this i painted my painting "surrendered heart" (below). it is a painting that i was passionate about because i had to endure a lot in order to give up myself for God. a verse that i commit to frequently is found in 2 Corinthians 4:5. this is my ministry verse and every time i'm preaching or preparing a sermon i make sure that i am living this verse as it MUST be God speaking through me not me saying what i think is best!
    does that help?

yes, it helps a lot. Thanks! but my question to you is that, how do i surrender ALL to God? I mean i guess what i'm really afraid of is being criticized, but today as i was getting the things out of my locker, i took my Bible to show my friend a verse, a found a diff. one instead, anyways barley anyone was there except me and another girl in my class (i was still reading my Bible), then the girl said: "what are you reading?" "my Bible" "why?" she said "because i want to learn God's commandments, and remember them." (something like that.) "oh!" said the girl. and that was practically the whole conversation. I also remember in Gr.4, there was a girl from Hungry, and i witnessed to her. she wasn't there the whole year, but on her last day she became a christian! it was like something was speaking through me!Thanks again!

  8. well personally i read the Bible because it is God's guide to LIFE! a life that is real and a life that is eternal! no offense but to say that the only reason you read the Bible is to memorize God's commandments sounds very lame and boring and pointless, that's probably why they responded "oh". because the Bible is SO much more then that! it's called the book of LIFE. not suggestions by God. but it shows us God's love and plan for our lives! that's is a reason worth reading it for!

you're so right. but there's a verse in Proverbs somwhere that says something like: my words/commandments are the key to life. something like that. and just to let you know i've got an older brother who likes to draw & paint, there's this one pic. i like, it's a pic. of a car on a road, and he wrote in the pic. 'who's in the driver seat of your life?'
